ONOVA.SPACE
PostSince my last message, have been silently working on the game and can say it is complete, with my test players, like a few months ago before Summer. Some new features includes dungeon and dragon-like expeditions (decisions matters), Stellaris-like anomalies (to provide player engagement), NPCs (imagine Stellaris NPCs as Tarkov Traders), balance tested elements (due to specific buildings and researches) and self-developing bots. At the moment I am changing the login interface to match the vibes o…

Some tips I've added on my bot mechanic, that could make yours "not only build and research", for engagement: - target search within certain range or proportional with spy tech - realistic spy based on target stats - battle simulations and send a 75% confidence attack based on spy report - spy every x minutes - counter-check if sent attack would fail the battle if spy report changed, if so, cancel the attack anything else like colonization or fleeting could be triggered based on tech or alarming…

PostQuote from amamoslavida_: “nice, probably number 3 is caused by my browser being in dev mode, have written those just to inform assuming you are not aware of those, but seems like you know a lot good luck on your project hope you got some users, if i have time i ll check and inform further. ” Yeah, but that's valuable feedback. Probably 95% of game runners here have their game exposed and doesn't know how to properly address it. From your feedback, you know how to treat your game, so I wish you …

PostHi. Thank you for important feedback. Right now I am not seeking "players", but "testers", as it's a dev environment. 1. Required cookies to maintain website minimal requirements (as login) can be loaded without approval, as stated on EU-GDPR. Marketing, preference and analytics cookies are the one that must have client-side approval; 2. Intended behavior, but yes can be improved; 3. Are you using private session or any blocker, likely the case? I can't reproduce this behavior on different devic…

PostHi. I am here to present the endeavor I've been working on. Priorly stated as Re-Origins (2moons.de/index.php?thread/157…ins-is-re-launching-soon/), a project with a former partner who abandoned the project, this is a space strategy browser game reimagined. Imagine if OGame and Travian had a son, but had simultaneously an affair with Stellaris for being within the same genre - that's what ONOVA is. The game has been for months on a pseudo-open beta and now we want to open horizons for anyone els…

Quote from flintnapa: “I have a few suggestions that I think anyone taking on the legacy 2Moons code should give thought. The 2Moons code based is truly over engineered and it's causing failures to maintain that code base. 1. Migrate out of Smarty and go pure PHP. Don't even bother making the mistake of upgrading to the latest version of Smarty. You will be wasting your time. Stick to version in the legacy code or better still bin Smarty altogether. 2. Get out of Ajax. It just adds unnecessary co…

Classic Bingo Game
ONOVA - - Mod Database
PostQuote from Abyss: “It would be great if the game had a classic bingo game. I tried to create it with the AI, but it gets confused. If the player buys a card, the bingo draws, and the prizes are distributed, is there anyone who can do this? First, second, and bingo? 34ucnv3.jpg ” AI is very dumb when it comes to JS. Bingo game actually wouldn’t be hard if you consider some kind of pre ready numbers that are sent through json (fetch) once and set interval per second with numbers popping up and som…

From this log, it's just someone doing trial and error. Alternatively, you can lock that IP if does two requests within 2-3 one second (some of those there are within a second). Yes, it might change the IP to other and try again, but you're limiting already connections. Otherwise, my recommendations on my post above will address it.

There are plenty of ways to solve this - anyone who wants to take their business/game seriously wouldn't risk a remote any location access to their own system: - remove remote admin access, use it local only (xampp wamp mamp) with db remote access whitelisted to your machine - or if you persist admin access remote to any location, build 2fa logger at database - create a specific public private key to access admin panel, likely a file or a passphrase ciphered - or use db only and scrap the admin …
